What has happened to toniandcharlie.com?

Dear English speaking reader of my blog.

The English version of my webcomic goes offline temporarily

On May 25, the new GDPR will become effective. GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation which is a European Union (EU) privacy law. It will affect businesses around the world when it becomes enforceable on May 25, 2018. It regulates how any organization that is subject to the Regulation treats or uses the personal data of people located in the EU. Personal data is any piece of data that, used alone or with other data, could identify a person. If you collect, change, transmit, erase, or otherwise use or store the personal data of EU citizens, you’ll need to comply with the GDPR.

In order to comply, I need to brush up my page in which I describe which data I collect and what I do with it. I haven’t done much with it in the past, and I won’t be doing a lot more in the near future, either.

However, I prefer to concentrate on making a living on my comic art, rather than translating law pages. I will do so eventually, but for the next weeks, I just don’t have the time.

So I have decided to simply re-route the English version of Toni & Charlie to the German version in the meantime.

Please accept my apologies for this decision. Stay tuned for the return of the English version of Toni & Charlie later this year.
