A Walk in Autumn is one of the early episodes of Toni & Charlie. It goes back to 2016, as a matter of fact.
It is also the first episode where Toni & Charlie act outside of their home. When it was first published in our local news paper, nobody came to me and asked „A seven-year-old and a four-year-old girl taking a walk without their parents? How realistic can this be? „.
Back then, I didn’t realize that letting act Toni & Charlie outside their usual habitat was a source of abundant adventures. It took a while, until I realized the full potential of these plots.
At that time, I still used old-fashioned ink nibs for my outlines. This traditional way of inking took ages to dry. Smearing and smudging my own outlines was something I disliked about it 😳
